A Cracked Pot
A water bearer in China had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which he carried across his neck.One of the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his house.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments,perfect for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only halfof what it had been made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream.
"I am ashamed of myself. It's because of this crack in my side that causeswater to leak out all the way back to your house."
The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of the path,but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw,and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path,and every day while we walk back, you've watered them.
For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house"
Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots.But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our livestogether so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them.

ah. it is now the time for reflection and the noting down of memories. nods solemnly.
this week has been a busy week! full of camps! got another week full of camps next week gonna die cos both are training camps blah. consecutive! and i'm missing sonicfest! but ahwells why do i go for sonicfest? search motives.
sthilda's camp! the night before was rushing physics pt. so i slept at 4. woke up late the next day; 6.45 when we were supposed to be there at 7.30. rushed down to grace's house to give her my pt then reached sthil's at 7.35. haha pro!

haha i love berrynice! the change in them was so nice. at first when i first met them, all they did was stare and stare quietly. THEN! i left them alone and came back and they were all talkative and bonding and laughing and all! their team item was also soooo good OHMAN look already how can one not feel proud!
but yes the change was nice to watch. haha wat i was really proud of was during the miniolympics during the nose hockey, even though there were some reluctant ones, but for the team! they did it! they got on their knees and noses and pushed the marble all the way to the finish line! AND! hahaha so proud of those who cheered. esp pamela! followed the pple playing all the way to the finish line cheering! ALRIGHT MAN!
hahaha but spent nice time with people too. had a nice talk w kiddo e second night. had fun with people. and DANCING! hahaha dancing is soooo fun. vic's style and mine are so different. hai i like dancing. and tiddy shall be my successor. was so proud of her when she danced so coolly. attitude! the tarzan and jane song was fun. pump it was fun. allstar was fun. dancing was fun. i wanna dance somemore.
the last night was fun. hahaha. was so proud of my group when i saw their dance. to 'You laid aside Your majesty'. its the super proud and happy and sweet feeling! ahhhh. :) to see all the great nice dance steps that they made themselves... they were so NICE. BERRYNICE! to see the bunch of quiet kids working together and talking and bonding and joking and laughing and playing and coming up with this themselves?! like please?! so sweet can?! ah that feeling of fierce burning pride at them.
then for the forfeit! vickiddoand me were framed! we sang but a bunch of kids came and tried to drag us to the front! as in really dragged. across the floor. when 3 of us linked arms they just dragged 3 of us. but! i managed to escape and stay unnoticed by a corner. hahahaha! hil wins again.
at the end of camp... i did sth i never thought i'd do. so unlike me. I HUGGED ALL OF THEM AHAHAHAAAA! ah. such nice cute kids. and they gave me an apple. its still on my table. i wonder if it has turned mouldy. but yes. hil has turned soft. i'm even talking and doing things for my sis instead of not talking. wahhh.
THEN! went for worship retreat! haha i think the retreat was a good time of bonding and learning. i've learnt stuff that impacted me. worshipping in spirit and in truth. e stuff there can be applied to my experience so far...
okay the following stuff are my thoughts. i'm not sure if they would stumble people so if you're not really strong or anything please don't read it and test yourself. i don't even know if its true or according to the Word. so! people who do actually read it, if there's any warped ideas please correct me. as in really don't let me continue with warped thoughts. i'm bolding it and e rest of my post is unbold.
one thing that really stuck. is that worship. is for God. yea this may be repeated loads of times but do you really understand it? worship is totally and purely meant for God. He is the very REASON why such a thing exists. worship is FOR God. i dunno how to put it in words cos 'worship is for God' can be interpreted in so many different ways. but well.
whats the point of singing nicely in worship services? whats the point of leading a great worship? whats the point of playing really good keys or guitar? is it for God? what He wants is worship. from the heart. sth internal that is expressed externally. not just sth external while the inside remains unchanged.
all the times where i'd led worship, thinking i'd done a great job, wanting God and people to see how good it went... when all the time God was looking at my heart. whether i had a heart of worship, whether i was worshipping in spirit and in truth.
its just this simple yet deep fact. worship is for God.
when you play for services, when you sing with the congregation. is it cos of commitment? is it cos you're there and everyone else is singing and whoa that song sounds really nice so you sing it? is it what God really wants?
worship is for God so why aren't we asking God what He wants? why arent we worshipping the way He wants us to, why arent our minds fixed on Him even when we sing? whats the point then?
you can do all the things in the world for God. you can climb mountains, go for mission trips, help and love people, lead amazing worships, deliver great sermons, play fantastic keys... but is your heart right? does it truly worship? put it another way. take away all the stuff you do for God. does your heart still long to worship and praise God? or are you simply using 'i'm doing it for God' as a noble purpose to do what you enjoy doing?
but still. even if you've not been worshipping from the heart, this is no reason for you to stop going to church. pleasepleaseplease don't. if you havent been worshipping from the heart, give God a chance to change you... don't cut yourself off from Him altogether. He wants so much to bring you closer and to restore you... He can and WANTS TO make things right. He's already given His Son for us. all this to draw us closer, to tear down the barrier of sin. such extents to bring us close to Him, why should we doubt that He doesn't want to bless us and restore us into a great relationship with Him?
throughout the bible. all the verses that speak of God calling people back to Him so that He could forgive them and enjoy a relationship with them again. thats what He did for me. all the verses, just a continuous affirmation and reaffirmations that He has forgiven me and wants me back.
that God forgets...

and DO NOT make the excuse that this has just been a sign for hil and it doesnt apply to me. like the Bible only applies to hil, only written for her like that huh. if you're gonna refuse everything God wants to show you, demanding a great experience and all that, how's He gonna change your life? yes He could give you a great experience and all but would that be good for you? would that be the best way? or would you just feel high for a moment then walk away doubting if that was really from God?
if you still doubt. then i challenge you to ask God yourself. as uncleben said, you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain.

haha the games in the retreat were fun! candle game! man we thrashed the other team! and the football game
haha. fifth root of 32 huh sher. the food was good. the talking was good. ohya on the the first night we were celebrating ruth's bday! then before that char sher and i were outside and i was playing the guitar and we were singing a song bout the moon and mich who was sleeping on the bench and who later went into the chalet. tried to sing her a song outside the window but she never hear. but anyway! we were singing! i think we named the song the macademian moon haha! then later when ruth came out we changed the lyrics and it became a birthday song!
ah. throughout the retreat there was loads of bhangra. played on the electric guit lol! had fun with faith med too.
ohyes. mich sleeps like a pig. its close to impossible to wake her up. the 3rd morning sher and i took 1hr to wake her up la! we pulled the blankets off her, snatched away all the pillows, tickled her, played with her nose, dragged her off the bed, bodyslammed her (haha me), threw a tube of toothpaste at her (haha sher!), tickled her feet and all we did was turn her 180deg round. hahaha! even worse than sher.
then after that was jamx. it went fine. haha.
then yesterday! watched football! lol i like germany! go germany! esp watching out for klose. he is good.
but i miss oliverkahn! he retired. boo. and costarica! everytime they say wanchope i feel like going "wanchope, twochope, threechope!"

today! went lunch with char and dj. and it was super funny. cos it was raining. so dj reached into his bag... and took out... newspapers! haha was laughing my head off at char cos she looked so sodden! with a limp newspaper on her head! then we ran in the rain and char and i were laughing. reached the trafficlight. noticed it was blinking. so we decided to cross. and the moment we stepped onto the road it turned red. so i was laughing. ahhhh the whole thing was super funny la char and her limp newspaper!

A: no, not at all. wine is made from fruit. brandy is distilled wine, that means that they take the water out of the fruity bit so that you get even more goodness that way. beer is also made out of grain. a toast to health, and bottoms up!

A: you're not listening! food are fried these days in vegetable oil. how could more vegetables be bad for you?

A: definitely not! when you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. you should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger belly.

A: are you crazy? hell no! hello...anyone home? cocoa beans...another vegatable! it's the best feel-good food around. i recommend lots of chocolate and coffee after every meal, as potent as possible, it's good for your well-being.

hahaha physics pt has been thrown aside!
but i thought i started quite late... until i called grace.

its so clever! it works and fits together so perfectly!
like whoa. the simplicity of it.

making up different protein chains.
all the different ways each elements fits together to form molecules and compounds
which form even bigger and cooler structures that fit together nicely somehow
and just a little variation makes all the difference.
yet it somehow happens that sth perfect and balanced gets churned out.
most of the time, though of course there are mutations.
but the system is just so... perfect.
God so pro.
and looking at a leaf through a microscope!
all the little cells!
all with different functions!
just learning bout all the different types of cells
how their physical properties help them to carry out their functions...
and after that looking at the whole big leaf
and knowing that in that thin little piece
there are loads of little cells.
all fitting together in one nicely functioning system.
then looking out at a tree.
with all the thousands of little leaves.
each with that system in them.
whoa.
and your body!
knowing and learning bout each different body part!
each created and made for a different purpose
yet fulfilling that purpose so nicely!
and everything just fits together.
whoa.
this is why i love bio even though i may fail or score badly at it.
its not bout the results... its the joy and awe and wonder of learning bout these little awesome systems.
and just marveling at how pro God is.
